As part of the PCC Foundation management team, the Foundation Marketing & Strategic Engagement Manager leads the communications and engagement strategy for the PCC Foundation to advance its mission, vision, and fundraising goals, through projects such as annual campaigns, special events and comprehensive campaigns. This role is responsible for the oversight, development and creation of all Foundation messaging, communication and design; annual giving and planned giving appeals; digital campaigns and events. This position works closely with the Foundation board and staff, the College's marketing and public relations teams as well as College leaders, alumni, donors, students, PCC retirees and business and industry leaders.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated skill in marketing and communications including project management and creative oversight of fundraising campaigns, writing (appeals, one-sheets, press releases, proposals and reports, talking points); fundraising campaign planning and execution; event programming; social media and digital marketing (videos, website and online campaigns).
  • Experience in providing strategic oversight to special events, including the creation and management of in-person, online, hybrid and fundraising events.  
  • Ability to provide integral support and oversight in Foundation's pipeline giving program (donors who give $1-4,999 annually) through annual giving campaigns, stewardship, and engagement events, including a large-scale gala.
  • Collaborative team leader with demonstrated success working across complex organizations  while also managing and leveraging staff capabilities and strengths to advance communications, events and the pipeline giving program. 
  • Ability to collaborate with external and internal partners, including staff, from diverse communities with respect and attention to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to actively contribute to the Foundation's management team to advance operational growth and success, with a focus on team development and culture.  
  • Minimum Qualifications

    To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Five years progressively responsible, professional experience related to area of assignment, including two years of supervisory experience.

    PCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. Includes Health, Dental, and Vision options, Group Life, Long-term Disability, Long-term Care, and Auto and Home Insurance programs.

    PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
    Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

    Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.  Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. In-district travel is required as necessary. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
