SUMMARY
Provides leadership to Rochester General Hospitals customer service programs and initiatives and serves as a resource for others within the organization while building and strengthening the role of Volunteer Services in providing services to improve the quality of care for patients and their families and to improve the volunteer visibility in the community.

ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services field, personnel management or related field required.
- 2 years’ experience in human services field or volunteer services management required.
- Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to work independently and creatively, with demonstrated decision-making, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish, develop and implement goals and objectives for each department that reflect the mission, vision, and values of the organization and are aligned with the RGH Strategic Plan.
- Seek out the input of patients and their families, department heads, and departmental paid and volunteer team members to identify, develop and implement best practices and services that improve the guest experience.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all physician, clinical and non-clinical leaders and team members that interface with the departments.
- Organize, train, direct, supervise, and evaluate the activities of each departments paid employees, in accordance with current Hospital policies and procedures.
- Provides leadership for RGHs customer service initiatives and assists others in improving customer service in their scope of influence.
- Chair and facilitate the Volunteer Advisory Council
- Leaderships over Spiritual Care, Volunteer/Guest Services, Information Desk and Switchboard.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
