JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the Packers Digital & Social team in steering Social Media endeavors, comprising content creation, expansion into emerging platforms, strategic development, cultivation of community engagement, and supervision of content publication.
This position is based at our office at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. This is not a remote position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a content strategy for the Social Media presence of the Green Bay Packers, including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Oversee copywriting for all of the Packers' social platforms.
- Manage team producing high-quality, engaging, original content for all Social Media accounts operated by the Green Bay Packers and related businesses (Lambeau Field).
- Implement all sponsorship, community, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure social support on all companywide initiatives.
- Consistently upholds an "always-on" approach to the position, ensuring constant vigilance over Social Media, and staying actively connected with current content trends, best practices, influencers, and celebrities.
- Gather, assess, and share analytical reports and Social Media insights with the team, consistently offering suggestions, updates, and enhancements to the social platforms.
- Strategize platform-specific content tailored to each social network, including captivating photos, compelling graphics, and engaging videos.
- Assist with photography needs, including shooting, editing, curating, organizing and posting to Social Media.
- Provide real-time Social Media coverage during gamedays and other Packers events.
- Serve as main point of contact for NFL social team, staying current on all available social opportunities and new technologies.
- Oversee strategy of paid Social Media campaigns.
- Act as a go-to resource for other departments within the organization to support their Social Media goals.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree (preferably in Social Media or a related field).
- A minimum of five years of experience with digital, Social Media, data analysis, copywriting, or strategy as a primary role.
- Exhibit strong written and communication skills, tailored to the unique nuances of each social platform.
- Expertise of fundamental Social Media platforms and their top practices, encompassing platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat.
- Graphic & motion design skills, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, a plus.
- Photography experience, including shooting and editing.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, X Ads, and X Media Studio.
- Expertise in data-driven social listening and tracking tools, including platforms like Meta Business Suite, X Analytics, Omniture, Google Analytics, Emplifi, and others.
- Meticulous and outcome-focused, with the capacity to excel in a dynamic and high-paced work setting.
- Knowledge of the Green Bay Packers' organization, the NFL, and football is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about emerging forms of Social Media, industry trends, and best practices.
- Exceptional capacity to forge robust interpersonal connections with both internal and external clients, emphasizing a strong focus on people.
- Availability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on game schedule and events.
