The Manager of Project Controls will supervise the activities of all Project Controls teams engaged in developing and monitoring critical path plans and related schedules. Responsible for monitoring and controlling costs for all EPC projects of any size or complexity. Must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of cost engineering, planning and scheduling principles/practices. Ability to independently make decisions on significant cost engineering planning/scheduling problems and methods. Will possess strong leadership, communication, and management skills. Manager of EPC Project Controls will report directly to the Director of Project Controls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, schedules, coordinates, and oversees the work of all Project Controls personnel including Project Controls Managers.
EDUCATION
Normally requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent working knowledge/experience. Certification is normally preferred at this level.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Typically requires 15+ years' of related EPC Project Controls experience.
Required Proficiency in:
Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Power BI
Working Knowledge:
- Primavera
- Acumen Fuse
- Oracle EBS
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures setup of all required Project Controls deliverables on all EPC projects. Project setup will include, but not limited to Budget, Cost, Change Orders, Gross Margins, and Schedules.
- Assists in determining project cost engineering and scheduling manpower requirements.
- Participates in proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Provides technical guidance in analyzing and interpreting complex sections of Project scope documents and in developing logic for complex phases of the project plan.
- Ensures that all project cost engineering activities such as budget development, budget monitoring, gross margin reporting, cash flow requirements and project scheduling activities are completed. This will include schedule development, updates, progress reporting and recommendations for corrective action that comply with company and client requirements.
- Will regularly communicate with construction and project management teams and will provide regular project updates to executive management.
- Prepares periodic forecasts of personnel utilization for assigned projects.
- Provides expert testimony in support of construction claims and regulatory procedures.
- Mentors, coaches, and recognizes top talent. Leads regular succession planning discussions for function/dept. Participates in 360 reviews for self and direct reports.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Develops and implements Project Controls standards and procedures.
- Ability to travel as needed.

May require occasional field trips or assignments to plants. This requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance. It also requires clear, close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Most work is conducted in a professional business setting. Occasional field trips or assignments to the field will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and airborne particles.
