VIZIO's dynamic Business Development team is looking for an Manager of Business Development who will work closely with business leadership to identify, scope, negotiate, and lead partnerships with media companies to support VIZIO’s award-winning connected TV Platform, SmartCast. This full-time position is based in Irvine, CA or New York, NY and reports to the Sr. Director of Business Development.
What You Will Do
- In this critical role, you will help evolve VIZIO's SmartCast Platform regarding the breadth of content, partnership uniqueness, and financial impact on the overall VIZIO organization.
- You will be tasked with telling the company’s story to VIZIO's content partners and ensuring they understand VIZIO’s strategic direction. You must be comfortable in presenting and thinking quickly, decisively, and proactively while representing VIZIO's business interests.
- Successful candidates will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing teams to evaluate and drive the adoption of VIZIO's SmartCast platform. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your understanding of the media and other tech industries inside a fast-paced environment to structure innovative and impactful relationships.
About You
- You have your Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field.
- You have 5+ years of Business Development experience.
- You are comfortable dealing with technical subject matter and managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- You have prior knowledge of emerging digital media platforms (bonus points given to candidates with connected TV backgrounds) and experience with multiple business models such as AVOD, TVOD, and SVOD.
You have broad understanding of the media industry, research, creative deal-making, and superior negotiation skills.
You have basic project management skills and are able to advance new business initiatives within the organization. This includes drafting project documentation, producing and managing timelines, and effectively identifying and communicating with key stakeholders.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $74,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $94,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
For New York-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $74,000.00/year. The maximum salary for this position $94,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
