To help us continue our mission of helping people-centered organizations create safe and inclusive workplaces, we are seeking a Manager of Account Management to bolster our Account Management function and build a team of excellent Account Managers. They will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers, driving a high-performing culture, building and optimizing processes, and ensuring the successful management of key customer relationships. The role will report directly to Jesse Clinton, Director of Sales.
What You'll Do:
- Team Leadership
- Set and maintain a high-performing culture and morale within the team.
- Manage and lead a group of 3 Account Managers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Customer Engagement
- Engage frequently with key customers, becoming deeply embedded in relationships with top accounts.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to address customer needs and challenges, ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Performance Management
- Oversee the daily activities of individual Account Managers, ensuring they meet and exceed key performance metrics and quotas.
- Monitor and manage spend activation, product activation, retention, expansion, and customer health goals.
- Lead Account Strategy + Growth
- Partner with your team to account map, identify growth opportunities, and position our suite of products
- Negotiate and work through our customer's buying process
- Reporting and Forecasting
- Provide regular and comprehensive reports on team performance to senior leadership.
- Forecast future performance trends and strategize accordingly to meet business objectives.
- Hiring and Training
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new Account Managers.
- Train new hires on EasyLlama's product, buyer personas, competition, and tools using various methods
- Process Optimization
- Improve team output and efficiency by optimizing systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline workflows.
- Cross-Functional Representation
- Represent the Account Management team in cross-functional collaborations with leaders from other departments.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration to meet overall company goals.
- Contribute to customer marketing efforts to enhance customer engagement and brand advocacy
- Invoice and Billing Oversight
- Oversee invoice and billing processes, working closely with the CTO to understand the billing backend
- Ensure accurate and timely billing to enhance the overall customer experience
Who You Are:
- You should have a minimum of 3 years of proven, quota-carrying experience in sales or Account Management as an individual contributor, consistently demonstrating success.
- You excel in identifying and closing upsell opportunities within your active book of business.
- You can navigate complex buying processes with ease, essentially project managing deals through each stage of the sales cycle.
- You can quickly assess data to find areas of growth potential within your accounts.
- You excel in developing sales plans to address gaps in quota for yourself and your team.
- You have at least 3 years of experience as a 1st line sales leader, leading Account Management teams focused on mid-sized or larger clients (500+ employees), with a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding monthly quotas.
- You're successful in fast-paced, results-oriented Go-to-Market (GTM) environments, ideally within SaaS companies.
- You are genuinely enthusiastic about hiring, with a thoughtful approach to team planning and development.
- You're great at articulating contractual, technical, and financial value points to customers, including executive leaders.
- You have a strong track record of negotiating, structuring, and executing complex sales agreements.
- You are proficient with a Modern Sales Tech Stack, such as Zoominfo, Gong, Hubspot, etc.
- You love to leverage data for decision-making, system creation, and identification of process improvements to enhance efficiency.
How We'll Take Care of You:
- $120,000 to $130,000 base salary. 60/40 split for commission
