Job description
Responsible for the coordination and support of the accounting processes.
Location: (Local/Remote)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the facility.
* Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
* Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
* Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to ensure the records are accurate and timely.
* Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
* Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
* Prepare month end journal entries and GL account reconciliations within established time frame.
* Prepare required financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
* Ensure the financial records are accurate and filed timely.
* Assist, monitor, and coordinate accounting and financial projects as assigned by CFO.
* Assist CFO with schedules, reports, audits and projects per Corporate and other agency's requests.
* Serve as a backup for the Payroll/AP Staff Accountant when needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required.
* Five years' accounting experience preferred, in a healthcare setting a plus.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
* Public accounting firm's experiences are preferred.
* Strong accounting background, analytic skills and knowledge of GAAP are required.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel required.
* Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* High degree of attention to detail and multi-tasking
* Ownership and pride in work product
* Strong time management and organization skills.

Compensation for roles at San Jose Behavioral Health varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, San Jose Behavioral Health provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below:
SJBH Range - $96,000 - $120,000 - Depending on experience.
