Manager, Lifestyle & Events

The Dermot Company, a New York and Florida-based real estate developer and operator, is seeking a Lifestyle & Events Manager (LEM). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Lifestyle & Events, the LEM will be responsible for ensuring Dermot resident engagement under Dermot’s Ignite hospitality brand through specialized event programming, exclusive partnerships, and various services.

This is a full-time position based in New York City. Some nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As the Manager, Lifestyle & Events, we’ll look to you to:

• Design, plan and ensure successful execution of lifestyle, health, and wellness events and programming across the Dermot portfolio as well as for Dermot employees through effective resident communication and engagement
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high enrollment, retention, and satisfaction with Dermot’s Ignite Club memberships
• Participate in growing a luxury hospitality brand through effective brand marketing; manage Ignite marketing efforts
• Mentor and guide the Lifestyle and Events Coordinator and lead a team of ambassadors to foster an environment of support and professional development
• Assist in planning ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) events and bringing awareness to our social initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with property teams to understand the needs of each property and its residents
• Provide relevant reporting to property teams, leadership, and investors
• Secure strategic partnerships to offer exclusive discounts and deals for Dermot’s Ignite Club members
• Source, grow and maintain strategic vendor partnerships
• Ad hoc projects

ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU OFFER

• 4 year undergraduate degree in Event Management, Hospitality or related field
• Must be comfortable working event hours (nights, weekends, holidays as needed)
• 2-5 years of hands-on, in-house event planning experience running multiple events concurrently
• Prior experience in the real estate industry is strongly preferred
• Exceptional organization, follow-through, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Proficient in marketing techniques and technologies (e.g., email and social media marketing)
• Comfortable working with competing priorities
• Enjoys researching and keeping up with the latest developments in event planning
• Must be able to work for any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever

The annualized gross base range for this position is $70,000-80,000. The actual compensation within the range will be based on factors unique to each candidate including years and depth of experience.
