The Manager, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications is responsible for management and execution of Investor Relations and external Corporate Communications initiatives. The Manager, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications educates, informs, and engages company target audiences through communications to support the Company's mission and work.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development and implementation of external corporate communication strategies that are consistent with current business goals and objectives following strong collaboration with company stakeholders.
- Thoughtfully develop and edit business, product, and pipeline communications, including corporate, clinical data, regulatory, and financial announcements, disease awareness education, and thought leadership/awards as the company continues to grow.
- In support of short- and long-term milestones, maintain corporate presentation, Q&A documents, key messages, IR section of the website, distribution of news; and craft monthly social media calendars for X(Twitter) and LinkedIn, print material (as needed), and media submissions.
- Drive an active Investor Relations/Corporate Communications calendar including planning, logistics, and execution of investor conferences/medical congresses, programs, non-deal roadshows, meetings, and other communication events.
- Lead corporate rebranding efforts including update of external website.
- Prepare background information for key spokespeople in advance of meetings with investors, business development, media, etc.
- Monitor company-specific and industry-wide sell-side research including scientific content and track/provide updates on changes to peer performance.
- Help to create and maintain ongoing relationships with covering research analysts, shareholders, investors, media, advocacy groups, scientific/medical KOLs, conference organizations, photographers, videographers, etc.
- Maintain IR Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (IR Insight).
- Oversee media relations by coordinating interviews, briefing sheets, announcement, editorial placement, and other speaking opportunities.
- Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for communication materials, then work according to new guidelines or structure.
- Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas, and problems are addressed.
- Train and guide internal team members in external communications to ensure consistent corporate narrative and brand identity.
- Manage third-party service vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, marketing or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in communications experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or related field (corporate or agency side).
- Positive track record of delivering impactful communications for different platforms and audiences.
- Demonstrated product experience, including strategic and innovative brand communications programs, disease awareness initiatives, and pipeline efforts including data milestones and medical congress activities.
- Experience and confidence in providing strategic advice and counsel to senior leadership team, including executives and CEO, related to communications strategy and crisis and reputation management.
- Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management as well as outside agencies and ensure integration of cross-communications efforts.
- Self-starter with experience in a fast-paced, multitask-oriented environment and is flexible in thought and has the creativity to excel and contribute.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, allowing for an open and effective dialogue throughout the company.
- Superior project management and organization skills; able to juggle many different initiatives and competing priorities with tight deadlines.
- Strong command of firm content quality guidelines (e.g., SEC and FDA regulations when communicating).
- Management of confidential company information prior to internal or public release.
- Experience in an emerging, publicly traded company environment.
- Knowledge of financial markets and trends.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally with senior management.

- Hybrid work model acceptable (i.e., part-time in South San Francisco office with flexibility to work part-time from home).
Salary: $130,000-$150,000 DOE
