The Nestlé USA (NUSA) Operations Finance team works with our Technical & Production partners to provide insights and bridge the manufacturing costs to the Profit & Loss Statement to our business partners. This includes the planning, forecasting and analysis of actual costs vs. forecast and performance versus prior year. This role will be responsible understanding the cost of production and translating insights from factories and co-manufacturers to the P&L.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager, Operations Finance will provide decision support to the various Stakeholders. This role will help lead change management for T&P finance by streamlining key processes to support Future of Finance initiatives. Work with the factory teams to reconcile Cost of Production (COP), optimize fixed factory costs and maximize Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) for the organization. This role will also support key decision making in the division E2E initiatives as it relates to sourcing initiatives. The role supports the Director of Finance and T&P LT by driving actionable insights and transparency to all business partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build key relationships across the organization to help align and effectively communicate the monthly results and understanding impact to the business.
• Provide timely, transparent, and accurate management reporting of actual performance versus a dynamic forecast and historical trends
• Collaborate with the commercial business partners, T&P functional partners and finance teams to capture investment needs and ROIs for various E2E projects.
• Work closely with the contract manufacturing and factory finance teams to provide thorough insights on variances and quantifying the risks and opportunities to the DF based on current trends & anticipated changes.
• Track productivity opportunities and pacing of existing projects to deliver on financial commitments.
• Lead quarterly forecasting process with key inputs from functional partners and tracking monthly R&O's
• Manage month end close processes for areas of responsibility
• Collaborate with the Costing Center of Competence (CCC) to simplify and consolidate month end close processes to drive continuous efficiencies
• Help support the long- term strategy (MBS) for the business, factories, and the T&P organization
• Create management presentations for business partners to effectively communicate the performance, key changes, and R&Os to the business.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
• Bachelor's degree in business with concentration in Accounting or Finance (MBA Preferred)
• 3-5 years of industry experience across operations
• 3-5 years financial analysis experience
• Proficient in key software and systems (GLOBE SAP, Essbase, MS Excel, Dodeca preferred)
• Position requires approximately 25% travel
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with the proven ability to provide clear concise information and modified to the audience ranging from peers to senior leaders.
• Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts and information to non-financial personnel
• Commitment to developing direct reports and creating opportunities for exposure to the broader organization
• Ability to successfully work both independently and as part of a team; able to build key relationships with across multiple functions.
• Ability to translate complex business issues or opportunities into easy to understand concepts with solutions
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including deadline-sensitive priorities.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Nestlé Accounting Standards.
• Understanding of financial statement relationships (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows).
• Advanced computer based analytical skills utilizing the Microsoft suite of products and SAP/BW
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Willingness and mental agility to learn in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
