As a member of the Coaching@Goodwin team, the Manager of Career Coaching will support the firm's talent development strategy by working with lawyers and professional staff to identify and achieve their career goals. Coaching@Goodwin sits within a broader team focused on enhancing the Goodwin Experience through appreciation & recognition, career development, engaging work and inclusive workplace.
What You Will Do:
- Provide one-on-one executive coaching to lawyers and professional staff
- Provide some career transition coaching to lawyers
- Manage the administration of the Coaching@Goodwin program, including compiling data, tracking participation, communicating with outside vendors, and budgeting
- Lead upward feedback program for partners, and participate in other feedback-gathering initiatives
- Develop and present programs on coaching-related topics to diverse audiences, as well as programs promoting Coaching@Goodwin
- Collaborate with various functions within the firm, such as Learning & Professional Development, Attorney Development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to promote Goodwin's culture
- Collaborate with business unit leaders, attorney development managers and HR business partners to identify appropriate coaching resources
- Keep abreast of developments in the talent development industry and identify opportunities for innovation or greater efficiency
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent required. Juris Doctor strongly preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in executive coaching preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a coaching certificate from an accredited coaching program and an ICF accreditation.
- Sensitivity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Relevant and significant experience in a law firm administration role
- Knows industry best practices with respect to Career Coaching and resources in the marketplace
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding presentation skills; confident speaking before large groups
- Excellent attention to detail; strong project management skills
- Consummate team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business units
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
- Demonstrated ability to organize, delegate, coordinate, monitor, and control activities, resources, and costs
