Event Venue Sales Manager

Fifty Four is located at 226 east 54th street in New York City . We are an event space that hosts bar/Bat mitzvahs, weddings, sweet sixteens and corporate events. Our company is currently seeking ​a dynamic and experienced Event Venue Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue for our Event Venue, building relationships with clients, and ensuring that our venue meets and exceeds the expectations of our clients. This role requires a high level of sales acumen, excellent customer service skills, and a deep understanding of the event planning industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business.

2. Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to ensure repeat business.

3. Conduct tours of the venue for potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits of our space.

4. Negotiate contracts and packages to secure bookings.

5. Collaborate with the event planning team to ensure client needs are met.

6. Monitor the market and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.

7. Meet and exceed sales targets.

8. Attend networking events and trade shows to promote our venue.

9. Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in sales, preferably within the event planning or hospitality industry.

2. Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

4. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.

6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

7. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
