The Manager of Accounts Receivable leads all aspects of the day-to-day Cordis AR function. He/she oversees personnel, processes, and systems for Cordis’s collections, cash application, and credit risk management teams.  This seasoned leader knows how to operate at a high pace with high visibility and high accountability. He/she will build and grow a high-performing team that maximizes company cash flow while engaging collaboratively with both internal and external customers to overcome all barriers to timely customer payment. This internally motivated, organized, and adaptable team leader must take personal ownership and accountability over all aspects of Accounts Receivable while balancing both the company’s sales aspirations and credit risk tolerance.  His/her success will be predominantly measured using relevant Accounts Receivable metrics and internal/external customer feedback.

 

This position can be remote, with East Coast time zone preferred.


  • Attract, retain, and develop world-class AR team as measured by portfolio metrics and customer feedback
  • Optimize all Accounts Receivable processes and systems for efficiency, ease of use, and maximum cash flow
  • Engage as single point of contact with internal Cordis sales and finance leadership
  • Manage third-party relationships including BPO providers, collection agencies, D&B, etc.
  • Drive a culture of achievement and excellence both in terms of AR performance and calm under pressure
  • Ensure all accounts are ‘clean’ and maintained to minimize confusion and maximize collections
  • Review, socialize, and implement credit holds on accounts for which all other measures have been exhausted
  • Hold weekly portfolio and metrics reviews collections team members and back-office team leader for continuous improvement and training

 

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or another analytical field
  • 8+ years relevant work experience in a finance leadership role
  • Experience in analytical roles that required deriving insights/action plans from large data sets
  • Customer-facing experience with demonstrated skill at communicating well under pressure
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, VLOOKUP, IF statements, etc.) 
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE, NetSuite, etc.) as AR functional lead
