Under general direction, provides analytical management assistance by planning, coordinating and implementing The City of Davenport AmeriCorps/Youth Corps Grant Program, and other related work as required.
The Management Analyst I | AmeriCorps - Recruitment position is a grant funded position.The City of Davenport offers a comprehensive benefit package. The cost for a family plan for medical, dental, vision and prescription is only $98.61 per month for 2024 and starts on first day of employment.

Oversees and facilitates recruitment and selection processes for AmeriCorps service positions; prepares and develops advertising material; plans, coordinates, develops and implements onboarding procedures.
Implements the AmeriCorps Program as proposed and approved by Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and Iowa Commission of Volunteer Service (ICVS) in the AmeriCorps grant application and negotiation process.
Provides program information required by the CNCS and ICVS.
Conducts orientation training and other training as needed for AmeriCorps Site Supervisors and AmeriCorps Members.
Communicates with applicants regarding application procedures and processes, AmeriCorps Site opportunities and position descriptions.
Provides technical support to AmeriCorps Site Supervisors and Members. Conducts program evaluation of members and sites and uses the information to continuously improve the program.
Supervises AmeriCorps employees and members.
Attends mandatory meetings and trainings convened by CNCS and ICVS.
Oversees development and growth of programmatic components: develops and regularly updates policies and procedures handbook for AmeriCorps grant administration; creates and maintains an appropriate tracking/monitoring and reporting system to meet grant compliance requirements.
Assists with preparing program reports and background information.
Assists in coordination of AmeriCorps evaluation, performance measures and annual reports.
Works with AmeriCorps Project Evaluator to ensure member evaluation and fulfillment of grant performance measures.
Provides information on general public personnel matters related to AmeriCorps such as minimum qualifications for positions; impact of positions, and other related assignments.
Reviews and adheres to federal regulations, provisions, CNCS policy updates, state laws and AmeriCorps administrative requirements to formulate appropriate policies, procedures and interpretation to guide successful implementation of the program.
Prepares various forms of correspondence including letters, reports, announcements, memos; prepares reports including any council action items; compiles and analyzes statistical and financial data supporting AmeriCorps reports.
Maintains confidential AmeriCorps records including documentation of background checks, Member Service Agreements, member service records and other related documents.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Park Administration or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the required work in the position.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain throughout duration of employment.
Must pass a background check as prescribed by the City and AmeriCorps program.
