Kum & Go/Maverik is looking for an Asset Management Analyst to join our Real Estate team. This role will manage all asset leases such as renewing leases in a timely manner and evaluating lease terms. The Asset Management Analyst will also provide tenant and landlord relations on a daily basis including negotiating and finalizing lease negotiations both as a landlord and a tenant. What you’ll do
- Manage day-to-day operation activities including assisting landlords with lease obligations, protesting tax assessments, and working with environmental contractors
- Serve as a liaison for property issues between internal departments and external contacts
- Manage upkeep, maintenance, and disposition of surplus property including creating marketing materials and negotiation of contracts
- Accurately complete real estate records and other documents associated with ownership
- Manage arrangements for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property as specific in lessee’s agreement
- Assist with due diligence requests and execution of reciprocal easement agreements
What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong prioritization and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and understand legal documents related to real estate
- Experience with contract negotiation in a plus
- Knowledge of financial reports preparation and explanation
- Proficient in Excel
Other key requirements
- Experience working in real estate including property management or lease administration preferred
- Relocation to Des Moines, IA or Salt Lake City, UT area required
