Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance/Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair work, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role is vital in ensuring that our hotel facilities are well-maintained and fully operational at all times, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as HVAC/PTAC system checks, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and carpentry work.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance assistance and resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work and minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance work.
- Assist with special projects and renovations as needed.
- Mild Houseman duties with trash and routine grounds work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or Handyman, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/PTAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
