The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building assets. This position is also responsible for  basic maintenance and organization to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good condition at all times for customers and employees. This pay for this position starts at $42,000.00 /year  This position is located at 3850 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 1800 Metairie, LA 70002 We offer:Paid time offEmployee rental car discountsRetirement savings plan including 401k with matching profit sharingHealth InsuranceLife InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceTraining and development Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)   Responsibilities The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide variety of general Building Maintenance repairs and services including but not limited to:Routine general maintenance and repair work such as light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpet/floor cleaning, and snow and ice removalTimely completion of work orders generated by call-in requests or preventive maintenance schedulePerform duties of the company’s preventative maintenance programTroubleshoot general problemsMove items as needed (i.e. furniture, file cabinets, boxes, artwork etc.)Delivery of office and building suppliesSmall appliance and equipment installation (pressure washers, air compressors, etc…)Working outside in all types of weather and temperatures and in a typical office environmentUse a variety of equipment: a large assortment of vehicles (may include 15-passenger vans and airport buses), safety belts, 2-way radio or cellular phone, phone system, computer/tablet, printer, fax, cleaning tools and solutionsFollow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications We are looking for individuals with strong problem-solving and communication skills, who enjoy working with hands-on projects and providing excellent customer service. One year or more of hands-on general Building Maintenance experience is required.Must be at 18 years old  Must have HS Diploma/GED.Must have a current and valid driver's license. Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical a mustExperience performing basic maintenance and repairs (e.g. ballast replacement, drain clean out, painting, etc)           Ability to lift at least 60 pounds repeatedly due to various dutiesSome computer knowledge helpful for monitoring security and building systemsMust have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 yearsNo drug or alcohol related convictions on driving record within the past 3 years (ie., DUI/DWI)  Apart from religious observations, must be able to work the following schedule(s):Minimum 40 hours/weekMonday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pmWeekend hours as needed based on special projects
