We are currently hiring for:

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Night shift

Wage Range:  Minimum starting wage $23.50 with a range up to $31.50 per hour depending on experience.  Opportunity for high performers to have review after 6 months for possible increase.

Job Summary:   We are looking for candidates that enjoy working with their hands, tools, and troubleshoot machines when they break down. Individuals that are motivated, and have a willingness to learn or improve their Industrial Maintenance Skills and grow through on the job training. The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all equipment in the assigned area.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete daily preventative maintenance and daily tasks. 
• Must be able to lubricate, inspect and repair bearings and sprockets.
• Read and understand mechanical technical repair manuals.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns.
• Must be able to work in a safe manner and be able to follow all safety regulations.
• Operate lifts and material handling equipment as needed.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment as needed.
• Able to adapt to fast pace work environment that requires a clean environment for food safety.
• Must log all reactionary and planned work tasks in the CMMS system using a tablet.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 12-hour rotating schedule.    Sample schedule is as follows:
  • Week 1:  Work Monday, Thursday, Friday;                                            Off Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2:  Work Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday;  Sunday;                  Off Sunday, Monday Thursday, Friday
  • May be asked to work additional shifts occasionally.
  • 3 Day weekend every other weekend
  • Base scheduled is work 7 out of every 14 day of a pay period.
• High school diploma or equivalent is needed.
• Good communication skills - able to communicate with peer mechanics, their supervisor, as well as other department and site leaders.
• This position does require candidates to read and write english with the ability to comprehend basic maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• The following skills are highly sought after:  Basic knowledge of hydraulics, troubleshooting including mechanical  and electrical/electronic, PLCs, welding/fabrication, AC/DC controls, motor controls, 3 phase wiring, plumbing, conveyors, pneumatic systems and more.
• A good candidate will be willing to learn while on the job.
• Experience in a mechanical, industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus.  Working in the Food Industry is a bonus.
• Must practice good personal hygiene.
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
• Basic computer skills are needed, using tablet is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to provide your own hand tools.
• Ability to adjust to changing demands.
• Must be able to climb ladders and do work on aerial work platforms as needed.
• Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen and physical.
