FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: VP of Operations
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of the facility equipment. This position performs installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair of high-tech manufacturing and industrial equipment and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure the proper operation of all facility equipment
- Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, troubleshoots, and performs maintenance on all areas of the facility
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical diagrams
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment and facility
- Follow all state and local building regulations
- Follows Lockout/Tagout procedures and ensures 100% compliance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required. Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, preferred
- Knowledge of machine installation techniques
- Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
