ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively and safely operate and maintain manufacturing equipment with a focus on plant safety, quality, production and cost goals.
- Support, troubleshoot and maintain automated production and test equipment.
- Process problems, identify root causes, and propose/implement remedies.
- Machine maintenance processes including electronic, electrical, and mechanical installations, as well as repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling equipment.
- Use of precision measurement tools.
- Interpreting blueprints, schematics, data trending and equipment manuals.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Fabricating fixtures or parts using lathes, milling machine and drill presses.
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards at all times.
- Provide process and equipment support to other areas of the plant as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair control systems, including limit switches, proximity switches, photo-electric sensors, solenoid valves, PLC I/O modules, servo motors and pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
- Participate in and provide support for team initiatives in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity utilizing structured problem-solving tools

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience on PLC programming, machining, sensors and mechanical installations. Industrial electrical and/or mechanical experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in reading and interpreting PLC programs, ability to make minor program changes. Experience running equipment such as lathe, milling machine and drill press. Experience with laser welding and AutoCAD background a plus.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and design drawings. Ability to write reports, email and test procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from engineers and managers. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules or composition and grammar.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical deviation, tolerance analysis and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations. Knowledge of arithmetic, basic algebra, basic geometry.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software to write reports and record data.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Troubleshooting, repairing, equipment maintenance, equipment selection, time management, judgment and decision making, operation monitoring and active learning skills required.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
