Form of workOakbrook Corporation is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician with strong people skills and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate understands that in our business, the tenant comes first. Our Maintenance Technicians provide direct support to tenants by responding to and troubleshooting a variety of residential service requests such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances and building exteriors. They take pride in maintaining public areas and completing apartment turnovers to ensure a comfortable property tenants can call home. Successful Maintenance Technicians have a can-do attitude and build positive tenant relationships by providing top notch customer service. They consistently demonstrate thoroughness, organization, and accuracy in all they do.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete work requests within 24 hours of receipt
- Ensure all vacant apartments are ready for occupancy
- Maintain grounds care and housekeeping as needed
- Report accidents, emergency, or safety concerns to supervisor immediately
- Snow removal and salting duties.
- Maintenance of apartments
- Training and/or onboarding of team as directed
- Demonstrates and follows the Oakbrook Values
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in residential property maintenance or related
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, construction, carpentry, painting, vendors, parts, and services
- Interpersonal skills to interact with tenants and others as needed
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must provide own basic tools needed for the position
- Physically able to perform job duties with or without accommodation
- Must have a valid driver's license and able to travel amongst multiple properties
- Must successfully pass a physical exam, background screen and drug screen
