Job OverviewThe Maintenance Technician for 3rd Shift will perform a wide variety of skilled mechanical and electrical duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify plant equipment in support of plant operations.
Job AccountabilitiesOperational Excellence- Must be able to perform all tasks safely considering the safety of other employees.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on various pieces of equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical electrical systems.
- Installs and modifies mechanical equipment & mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment & mechanical systems.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Disassembly and assembly of equipment.
- Repairs/Replaces mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
- Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to repair and or modify equipment.
- Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System to complete and document work.
- Coordinates effectively with managers to schedule repairs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Collaborates and communicates cross-functionally across departments such as Quality, Safety, and Engineering.
- Supports Production staff through effective and timely assistance and repair.
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping within work environment.
- Support current and new safety initiatives/policies.
- Accomplishes all work in orders to maintain safety, reduce downtime, improve quality production, and improve plant efficiency.
- Ensures all equipment documentation is complete and properly processed.
- Maintains and updates control documents.
- High School Diploma or GED with minimum 4 years previous industrial maintenance experience required.
- Required knowledge of skilled trades
- Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics; and mechanical blueprints.
- Good communication and organizational skills
- PLC troubleshooting
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to work 3rd Shift from 10:00pm to 6:30am
- Industrial equipment maintenance
- Basic industrial electrical aptitude
- PLC troubleshooting skills
- Welding (any type)
- Machine shop equipment and tools
- Technical Diploma
