We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician employee to join our team!
Wage: $20/hour
Shift: This position will work Monday- Friday hours
What you will do: Under general supervision, a Maintenance Technician will is primarily responsible for skilled maintenance and grounds work in campus buildings and grounds.
Purpose
You keep residents and staff safe and healthy by providing basic human needs and first impressions.
- Attend to the day-to-day care of the environment for youth, direct care, and administrative staff
- Ensures worksites are clean and maintained during, and at the completion of work projects.
- Performs facility inspections to ensure safety and security; participate in safety initiatives
- Support the improvement of the organization
- Support other members of the team in carrying out organizational goals and activities
- Display respect for all voices, all cultures, and all perspectives
Caring
You create a warm, welcoming and safe environment that gives dignity to the youth we serve
- Keep supervisors and staff informed of any concerns or observations regarding buildings
- Keep all assigned machinery and equipment responsible for in good and serviceable condition.
- Complete building repairs as needed, including basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing
- Perform maintenance service and repairs in several areas - i.g. painting, wall repair, vehicle servicing
- General maintenance of structures and facade outside of buildings
- Perform set-up and take-down for special events
- May occasionally be asked to perform a variety of semi-skilled work including housekeeping and food services to support the Facilities Team.

- Participate in development and completion of projects
- Assists with policy, planning and departmental budget requests
- Assist in creating preventative maintenance plans, procedures and schedules
- Assist in facility inspections for health, safety and licensing requirements
- Observe and report safety violations; actively participate in emergency situations
Minimum qualifications/education:
- Must be 21 or older at the time of application. High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check, including criminal & abuse
- Must have a drivers license and have an insurable driving record
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform manual work requiring physical exertion; Position requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to constantly stand/walk, and frequently required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch, bend, scoop, reach above shoulders, and reach at and below shoulders. Will be subject to frequent outside and inside environmental conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
