Ready Mix Concrete Plant Maintenance Technician - Williston/Watford City, ND

The Plant Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance, setup, and repairs of the plant and associated equipment. Can maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair Ready Mix plants and related equipment. Operates company equipment including but not limited to vehicles, forklifts, man lift, and scissor lifts.

Primary Job Functions:

• Setup, maintain, and service Ready Mix Concrete Plants and associated Equipment.

Assists in the maintenance, upkeep, safe and efficient operation of the plant and associated items including, but not limited to the following:

• Air compressors, air cylinders, pneumatic solenoid valves, lubricators, regulators, and filters.
• Conveyors, belts, drive systems, rollers, and electric motors.
• Augers and auger drive systems.
• Water pumps, meters, valves, and plumbing
• A variety of other plant equipment, including pressure regulators, relief valves, safety shutdown systems, electric motors, blowers, fans, etc.
• Troubleshoots machinery and equipment during plant operating and non-operating periods.
• Performs work in confined spaces. (Training will be provided)
• Reads drawings, schematics, and repair manuals.
• Maintains records of work performed and parts replaced on plant machinery and equipment.
• Prepares list and stocks replacement parts and materials for machinery and equipment maintenance.
• Responsible for keeping all tools at the assigned facility or assigned service truck in safe and good working condition.
• Maintains and performs repairs of facility building.

Preferred Experience:

• General knowledge of electrical
• Preparation for and welding of mild steel
• High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• Formal technical training is preferred.
• Technical experience with Ready Mix Concrete plant setup and repair.
• Intermediate computer skills, such as opening and closing files, data entry, creating and modifying spreadsheets and word documents, saving files, sending and receiving emails with attachments, etc.

Safety:

Must attend scheduled Safety Training, follow Safety Rules and be a Safe Employee.

Compensation:
Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience

Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
