Summary of Position:
Days of Work: Monday-Friday but will vary with emergencies and/or weather events. Hours of Work: 8:00 am-4:30 pm but will vary with emergencies and/or weather events. Working with all water and sanitary sewer mainlines and services, performing manual labor, operating equipment, and assisting in the maintenance of water and wastewater pumping stations. You would be required to be on the schedule for on-call, work extended hours and to work some nights and weekends.
Maintenance Technician Full Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have ND Class B driver's license with tanker and air brake endorsements or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire. Must obtain all operator license certificates from the ND Health Department for Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection. Eligibility to obtain certifications begins after the first year of employment.
Special Requirements:
High school diploma (GED) and four years experience in related field of water/wastewater systems OR Associates Degree in Water/Wastewater or Power Plant - Process Plant and 2 years experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must provide documentation of certificates/degrees.
