Job Summary:

**This position is located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.**
TheMaintenance Technician for OSUCOM-CN will be an independent position that willreport to the Director of Operations for the Tahlequah Campus as well as theDirector of Facilities OSUCHS-Tulsa. This position will work closely withOSU-CHS Facilities Department as well as with Cherokee Nation Health FacilitiesMaintenance Department. This position will be addressing day to day operationsof the Cherokee Nation-Tahlequah campus. Duties will consist of the positionrequirements below but are not limited to the list of requirements.
Position Responsibilities &Duties:
- Respond to Faculty and Staff Maintenance requests
- Strong communication skills
- Conduct property Inspections
- Work Independently
- Set up classrooms, break out rooms, meeting halls, and lobbies for special meetings and events
- Work Collaboratively with OSUCHS Facilities and Cherokee Nation Health Facilities Maintenance due to the nature of this position and campus.
- Assemble Office Furniture and other standard office equipment assembly.
- Hang large white boards, bulletin boards etc.
- Make and/or assists with general appliance repairs, carpet repairs and minor A/C and electrical repairs
- Performs and/or assist with carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties
- Move appliances, with assistance, using an appliance dolly
- Assist lead maintenance in maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
- Participates in an ongoing property improvement plan and preventative maintenance program.
- Experience operating the computer system to maintain and track service tickets, inventory and maintenance reports.
- Must be prompt, on time to work and have good, regular attendance
- Adheres to and complies with company safety policies and rules. Adheres to OSHA safety standards that are applicable for safe job performance.
- Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor providing excellent customer service
- All other duties as assigned
Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., climb, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger grasp, feel, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- High School Diploma/GED 
- 6 months' maintenance experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work overtime as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Proficiencies:
- Experience using Power Tool
