As a hotel maintenance worker, your job duties are to inspect and repair various energy systems, such as the heating and cooling systems, plumbing, lighting, and kitchen equipment. You also assist with repairing floors, roofs, and doors and installing new products, such as windows, carpets, and light fixtures. Qualifications for this career include skills such as mechanical aptitude, organization, attention to detail, and physical stamina. Beyond high school, many hotel maintenance workers take courses in plumbing, cleaning, and carpentry to gain the necessary experience for this job.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
