WORK HOURS: The work hours of this position require flexibility in order to meet production requirements. Some mandatory overtime may be required, and voluntary overtime may be available. Shift hours: Sunday 7PM – 7:30AM; Monday through Thursday 11PM to 7:30AM.
Contributes to the overall manufacturing environment of completing preventive maintenance, completing and
participating in projects to increase overall equipment efficiency, be able to troubleshoot general mechanical and electrical
issues on production lines including conveyors and packaging equipment. Engage with operators and management team to
develop and execute process improvement initiatives. This is the lead level position in the maintenance classification and
is expected to perform the job functions under minimal or no supervision.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
• Evaluates and identifies potential problems, repairs and maintenance electrical/mechanical machinery and plant
equipment.
• Evaluates and identifies potential problem, repairs and maintains pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC and plumbing systems
inside and outside of the plant.
• Operate the refrigeration system, diagnosis any issues with the system.
• Operate and service all aspects of boiler and steam systems and train new personnel in daily operation of boilers.
• Maintains preventative maintenance assignments, daily work orders and logs and all other required records.
• Involved will all major project improvements.
• Organize maintenance personnel to their assigned work areas and organizes team meetings with all coworkers.
• Provides support with/without the support from direct supervision at times.
• Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company,
customer and government standards.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Assists supervisor with providing direction and help to maintenance associates. Not allowed to hire, fire or discipline
associates.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED certificate required; 2-year degree from technical school preferred.
• 3-5 years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, basic math skills and ability to use basic gauges and measuring tools are required.
• PLC and computer skills required.

Working Conditions/Environment
Working Conditions/Environment:
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, lift,
reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 50 pounds a distance of 25 feet or more.
Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift (sometimes longer) with occasional breaks. May be required to work overtime,
weekends and/or holidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors,
moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, hairnets and safety
glasses are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
