Job description

The Maintenance job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient operation and performance of work assignments. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of maintenance resources and effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies.

Ensures that work scheduled to be completed has been coordinated with other organizations that have interface or impacts associated with that work. Continuous communication among Work Planning, Engineering, Scheduling, Construction and Procurement. This position provided direct support to activities related to schedule development and work prioritization.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Maintain current training, certification and development requirements.

  • Perform FWS responsibilities in support of LO/TO approvals and SPLT implementation.

  • Administrative, organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MSOffice programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is desired.

  • Support Shift Mangers and Work Week Managers in scheduling work activities in a manner that ensures project resources are efficiently allocated to support applicable phases of operations.

  • Coordinate work package readiness and release for daily/weekly activities.

  • Develop/implement corrective action management program condition reports and action plans.

  • Interface with other organizations to provide updates for work schedules, priorities, and resource assignment.

  • Performs analysis of Work Execution/Scheduling and develops reports, charts and graphs/metrics to accurately measure Work Execution performance.

  • Provide status and updates to the various project level schedules.

  • Maintain updates and status reporting on Maintenance Punchlist items.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

  • Integrates efficient maintenance practices that follow company policies, client requirements, and governmental regulations.

  • Support development of crew mix and personnel assignments (Supply and Demand model).

  • Responsible for understanding plant business processes as they pertain to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Work Control.

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree business, engineering, construction management, economics and 8 years’ experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.

OR

Associates degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics and 10 years’ experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 12 years’ experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.

Preferred:

  • Maintenance experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP / Commercial Nuclear environment. Engineering experience.

  • Experience with the review of Craft Daily Status Logs, Etrack entries, and CMMS hours for reporting and alignment audits.

  • Experience with work package estimating, updating percent completes, and estimate change processes. Work with Sr. Managers to develop and implement effective corrective actions to improve estimating accuracy.

  • Experience with LO/TO approvals and SPLT implementation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule, 4 nights on / 4 nights off, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
