Maintenance Specialist Ii - Work Control

The Production Planning job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient maintenance, operation and performance of work assignments. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of operations and maintenance resources to effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies.
This position will support the Work Control process through support of planning, directing, and activity coordination of work to accommodate corrective and preventive maintenance and quality documentation for Plant Operations. This position is a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shift, day shift position.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
• Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Administrative, organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MSOffice programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Set up assets in CMMS.
• Establish PMIDs, creating PM schedules with grace periods, and analyzing Hazardous Waste Permits, Limiting Condition of Operation, and inspections scheduled to ensure planned maintenance meet those requirements.
• Assist in managing delinquent PMs
• Ability to train others on how to administer preventive maintenance program
• Process PM Work Orders
• Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree business, engineering, construction management, economics and 2 years' experience with computerized maintenance, training, or supply chain management software. Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.
OR
Associates degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics and 3 years' experience with computerized maintenance, training, or supply chain management software. Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.
OR
High School Diploma/GED and 4 years' experience with computerized maintenance, training, or supply chain management software. Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.
Preferred:
Work Control experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP / Commercial Nuclear environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87,011.43 - $133,126.59 Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule, 4 days on / 4 days off, Day shift only.

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
