Maintenance Mechanic Manager

SHIFT = M- Fr hours: 6AM - 3PM

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, repair, and perform PM's on production and facility equipment according to manufactures specifications and safety. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance of all equipment including but not limited to encapsulation & tableting machines, bottling lines, blenders, and liquid batching system. Basic/routine facility maintenance & repairs will be required from time to time as well.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-speed manufacturing, pharma, nutraceutical, beverage, or dairy clean room environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Responsible for understanding, and troubleshooting HMIs and PLCs

· Design and Implement a standardized training program for new technicians.

· Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of complete production lines.

· Maintain open communication with equipment OEM's through proper follow up methods.

· Research new trends and technologies.

· Complete PM in a timely manner.

`Assist Operators at equipment start-up to ensure optimal line speeds are met as quickly as possible with minimal rejects or quality challenges.

· Maintain safe work practices and environment.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Five years of experience in related field or three-year technical schooling.

· Basic computer and mathematical skills.

· Knowledge of single and 3 phase wiring.

· Understand control wiring, and logic diagrams.

· Knowledge of the following tools: Tube bender, digital meter, amp/meter, phase rotation meter

· Heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, and stooping might be required

· Must be able to work overtime as assigned.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.

Knowledge/Skills:

Work safely and be able to identify potential safety concerns in company facilities and coach others on safe work practices.

Take initiative to bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the appropriate person or resolve personally.

Meet all maintenance related OSHA safety regulations including required safety adherence, required inspections, and facility maintenance.

Maintain all equipment to OEM, OSHA or companies established safety standards.

Training:

Train less experienced Operators in their essential duties.

Equipment Maintenance:

Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs as needed including light building repair

Perform Basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures while following a prescribed program and schedule

Install basic electrical components, such as switches and limits

Use basic shop tools to perform all necessary repairs and fabrication

Follow OEM manuals to perform basic setup and PM procedures

Ability to diagnose, repair and find the root cause of basic machine problems that impact quality and productivity

Ability to work and train team members on basic troubleshooting

Physical Demands:

Constantly required to move and lift objects (tools, equipment, parts, etc.) of up to 50 lbs.

Work may be required to be performed in 8 to 12-hour shifts with mandatory overtime, including weekends

Vision requirements include close vision, distance, color, and peripheral vision; as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Frequently required to climb, reach, sit, and access confined spaces that require kneeling, crawling, and other positions that require physical maneuvering. This includes bend/twist, stoop, stand, walk, push, and pull.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
