The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery.

- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Troubleshoots and identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Troubleshoots and repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect and test machinery components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Weld using stick welding techniques to repair or fabricate metal parts
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Min. 2 years' experience
- Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including low voltage troubleshooting and repairs
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal stakeholders
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Technical sales experience is a plus
- Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Thorough knowledge of OHSHA and EPA regulations as related to plant operation and maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
