Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and directing all maintenance procedures and operations for the Hormann LLC - Sparta Facility.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the facility maintenance in providing both reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all equipment and facility infrastructure, while also effectively managing their direct reports and budgetary/cost reporting. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase site operational effectiveness, reduce the time between failure and downtime, manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Establish technical best practices and establish standard policies and procedures while also mentoring and leading the Maintenance Department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Communicate continuously and work harmoniously with supervisors in other departments, and/or shifts, to ensure that resources are deployed effectively.
- Must be able to handle disciplinary matters that may arise with direct reports.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders, when necessary.
- Monitor all Hormann LLC facility systems to ensure functionality.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities for the facility.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with, while also promoting a safe work environment.
- Have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment and be able to apply this knowledge to devise and implement improvements.
- Must provide management personnel with data-driven production updates by submitting reports and occasionally creating or collecting other types of production data that would be helpful in analyzing performance.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

Minimum Requirements:
- Have an advanced degree (associates or higher) in a technical field with at least five years of progressive manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibilities, or 10 plus years of supervisory responsibilities and project management experience.
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting metrics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
- Advanced computer skills which include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is a must. Understanding of SAP is a plus.

Essential Physical Functions:
- Be able to safely lift or move at least 50lbs.
- Be able to safely climb stairs or a ladder.
Equipment Used:
Computer, Calculator, Blueprints, Scales, Measuring Devices of all types, and other equipment as required.
