Job Description
TheMaintenance FacilitiesEngineer is a unique opportunity to join the start up team for our new greenfield manufacturing facility in Columbia, TN. The expanded operational footprint will help Fiberon meet the growing demand for its composite decking products. Our Fiberon composite decking is nearly maintenance-free, costs less over time than wood decking, lasts longer than wood decking, and is made from recycled materials, helping to prevent plastic and wood waste from ending up in landfills.
ABOUT THE JOB
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the maintenance and facilities team through coordination of resources and activities for all maintenance functions in the plant. The Maintenance Facilities Engineer provides the technical link between maintenance functions and production needs, and will direct daily efforts of facilities staff through direct interaction.
YOUR ROLE:
- Installation and maintenance of all utility and facility systems (ie electricity, water, gas, compressed air, and process equipment)
- Installation and maintenance of service equipment, i.e., docks, fork trucks, and HVAC.
- Provision of services for construction, alterations, maintenance, and repair of all buildings and grounds.
- Maintenance of appropriate records and histories.
- Management of facility planning, scheduling, and work execution.
- Assign and schedule maintenance resources as needed to support operations and facility requirements
- Monitor and control parts and material usage
- Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures (Root Cause Analysis Reporting)
- Responsibility for CMMS data analysis and reporting and maintaining targeted KPI metrics
- Support and enforce facility safety systems
- Partner with internal customers and suppliers, and colleagues to ensure achievement of targets
- Adheres to Fiberon's safety guidelines
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in facilities/plant engineering
- 3-5 years proven facilities and maintenance management experience is required.
- 3-5 years of 2D/3D modeling experience, AutoDesk (AutoCad Mech/Elect and AutoCad Revit Preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field
- Experience with MRP/ ERP and CMMS systems(Fluke eMaint CMMS preferred), quality/continuous improvement initiatives, and MS Office applications.
- Direct experience with chillers, air compressors and large manufacturing equipment
- Experience developing and managing Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs
- Experience with Manufacturing safety systems
- Experience with PLC/controls a plus
