A Maintenance Facilities Mechanic, is responsible for providing general maintenance to any building. The main duties involve responding to maintenance requests, performing general regular maintenance duties, and attending to virtually all parts of the building in question, including the flooring, ceiling, walls, and systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical wiring.

- Employment Type: Full-Time - Temp-to-Hire
- Days/Hours: 1st shift Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 2nd shift Mon-Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:30 AM
- Compensation Range: Starts at $19.00 -$24 Depending on qualifications
Responsibilities
- Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems
- Checking and responding to security and safety issues
- Doing landscaping maintenance and pest control
- Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
- Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues
- Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records and scheduling maintenance
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment
- Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues
· Organizational and time management skills
Qualifications/Education/Training:
· 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting. With a strong preference given to those candidate’s facilities maintenance experience.
· Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding
· Exceptional people and leadership skills.
· Background in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair.
· Background in pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
· An attitude of job ownership and integrity.
