Facility Maintenance Technician 3Rd Shift

ACTIVITIES
    Effectively and correctly diagnose and solve any type of mechanical or electrical trouble with all plant and support equipment (injection machines (Engel), robots (Fanuc), chillers, pumps, transtockers, conveyors, lighting, air compressors etc.) 
    Weld and fabricate any modifications as needed. 
    Preform all preventative work order tasks, make all necessary repairs found during preventive maintenance checks on all equipment. 
    Apply 5 "S" Standards to building and equipment. 
    Attend all classes and training required by Plastic Omnium. 
    Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated mechanical, electrical, electronic transmission testing, and Control equipment, single or 3 phase, up to maximum voltage (480v) used in the plant. 
    Design and install supports, conduit, wiring and piping for different equipment as needed. 
    Keep up with all applicable codes, guidelines, and procedures by NFPA, NEC, OSHA, Plastic Omnium, etc. 
    Operate a variety of power tools including grinders, drill presses, saws-all, air tools, hand tools, welders, plasma cutters, forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts. and electrical pallet jacks. 
    Responsible for rigging and moving machinery and accurate installation. 
    Assure all equipment is properly lubricated and maintained. 
    Assist other Maintenance Technicians in other groups as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS
    Upon successful completion of applicable Hazardous Materials Training, may be required to handle and/or transport hazardous materials and chemicals. 
    Participate in Continuous Improvement tasks. 
    Be able to wear a personal harness. 
    Be able to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometer, dial indicators, veneer calipers and depth gauges. 
    Having a working knowledge of PLC, PCs and robotics 
    Requires ability to check general conditions of wear or damage to mechanical equipment. 
    Capable of lifting more than 50 lbs. 
    Physically capable of climbing over equipment, under conveyors, molds, and material handling systems and scaffolding.

MUST HAVES

Electrical Troubleshooting 

Mechanical Troubleshooting 
Working knowledge of PLCs and Robots 
24vdc, 120vac, & 480vac experience 

Education: Diploma/GED 
Work experience: 5/6 years in industrial maintenance or related maintenance position.
