Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, the Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for general repairs and preventive maintenance of fixtures, equipment, and furniture. Participates in a team environment to include open communication, trust, accountability and mutual respect. General computer usage is required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum requirements include: High school diploma or GED. One years of experience in building/grounds maintenance, including experience in a health care organization.

PERFORM DEPARTMENT DUTIES IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT MANNER.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(Duties include the following, but are not limited to)
- Meets daily with supervisor to discuss special needs, problems, and assignments
- Review assignments online and update completed assignments using facility management software program
- Performs routine and specific repairing, remodeling and overhauling of equipment, furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures
- Installs, operates new equipment, assembles, moves, install furniture, fixtures.
- Repairs desks, file cabinets, chairs, furniture, and fixtures, Touches up paint.
- Installs, repairs floors and wall coverings, changes light bulbs.
- Responds to emergency equipment problems.
- Outside maintenance such as shoveling, sanding and salting in inclement weather..
- All other duties as assigned.
Must be able to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screening.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
