Maintenance Control Specialist - 2Nd Shift - 2 Pm To 10:30 Pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the area of plant instrumentation & control systems and related equipment.
• Areas of advanced knowledge must include, but not limited to PLC’s, VFD’s, HMI’s and DCS’s.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

• 2 Year degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Certification or degrees in the area of PLC, VFD, HMI and all other related training.

Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation
• 5 years or more working in maintenance and/or engineering in a manufacturing environment
• 5 years or more troubleshooting PLC’s, ( AB and Siemens preferred )
• 3 years or more installing and programming PLC’s
• Supervising others in this area is a plus

Knowledge/Skills:

• NEC for proper installation of electrical components
• Troubleshooting electrical circuits and devices in control panels
• Advanced knowledge in reading and troubleshooting wiring schematics
• Able to install and program any type of VFD’s for new and existing equipment
• Knowledge in motor control and related devices and components
• Able to learn and understand process control systems
• Able to read through manuals and instructions for learning equipment operations
• Able to develop SOP’s and manuals as needed
• Basic mechanical skills and aptitude
• Advanced knowledge in instrumentation and controls
• Advanced knowledge in installation and troubleshooting of PLC hardware and software
• NEC knowledge a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May at times supervise the work of maintenance personnel who is assisting with specified assignments.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards
• Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment.
• Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Son, will be provided

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
