Power Chokes is looking for a QC Specialist to ensure quality requirements are met per customer, company, and industry standards.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring accuracy of components passed into inventor and /production. Accuracy minimizes delays in production.
- Verifies API requirements are met, including traceability records and process steps. Protects our license agreement with API.
- Compiling monthly vendor scorecard data for end of month report. Attributes to the overall MOR.
- Responsible for ensuring all quality requirements are met in operation and documentation from internal and external sources. Ensuring all quality requirements are met.
- Verify material certifications are correct prior to closing out work orders or issuing COC.
- DNV & ABS product certifications (Type Approvals) customer and third parties’ witness review and verify contracts.
- Provide quality information by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing quality records and data, answering questions and responding to request.
- Responsible for record-keeping, documentation, and forms related to inspections.
- Verify all work orders by monitoring steps of the process: setting process variables: observing control points and equipment.
- Liaison between engineering and suppliers. Accurately describing requirements to machining vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
Qualifications:
Math skills, MS Office Products, Good visual acuity, inspection hand tools, oil and gas knowledge.
At least 5+ years of Quality Control, inspecting precision machined components.
Must be knowledgeable of API requirements; Monogram marking requirements, PSL 3 requirements for chokes & valves
Must be proficient with Gage-Maker, setting gauges, using thread profile software, setups on Mic-Trak.
Must be able to perform hardness checks with Brinell and Rockwell hardness testers.
