Production Control Specialist

Job Duties:

  • Evaluates written data, such as job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates, to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.
  • Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and enters the information into the computer system to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records.
  • Reviews the back order file to make allocation adjustments or shipment adjustments as stock becomes available.
  • Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
  • Prepares requisitions or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Assists with tracking inventory, verifying material in active jobs and shipping and receiving as necessary for Control products.
  • Prepares and maintains production reports and participates in production meetings.
  • Ensures quality control standards set by engineering are implemented in procurement documents and work orders.
  • Reviews operations and confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Requests quotes on equipment and liaison with outside vendors on quote requests.
  • Review Control System quotes for margin and technical description (for new control systems only, not replacement parts).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three years related experience.
  • Oil and gas equipment manufacturing industry experience.
  • Purchasing and Planning experience.
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Experience with BOP Control Units a plus
