The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in acquiring the best possible talent for a health insurer in WA. This role collaborates with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP’s) and hiring managers to develop workforce acquisition strategies, employ traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as implement new and creative sourcing concepts to maximize the talent pool.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have experience working in Healthcare, Non-profit or Governmental organizations.
- At least 3 yrs experience sourcing and recruiting talent.
- Experience should include utilization of job boards, social media, and networking avenues for sourcing talent.
- Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) systems; familiarity with UKG/UltiPro even better!
- Experience with Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
- PHR designation gives you an extra boost!
What you'll get to do:
- Perform proactive diversity, veteran and individuals with disabilities sourcing, community outreach, networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities to continually build and enhance the talent pool.
- Conduct resume and telephone screens, interviews, reference checks, background checks, salary negotiations, offer letters and closing job offers for assigned requisitions.
- Track and report on the value of sourcing strategies to ensure cost effective and efficient sourcing avenues.
- Cultivate relationships with the top candidates to recruit them effectively and successfully.
- Collaborate with the HRBP’s and HR Manager regarding participation in interview panels, determining salary offers, and coordinating onboarding.
- Partner with the Marketing Department regarding social media posts, employer branding materials and advertisements, as well as community outreach opportunities to locate and acquire talent.
- Attend job fairs and recruiting events.
- Partner with HRBP’s to ensure staffing agencies are meeting compliance standards and requirements regarding candidate eligibility to work
- Partner with hiring manager and staffing firms for hard to fill positions including statements of work and MSAs
- Other duties as assigned
