HR Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist

Compensation and Benefits

Shift and Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in Auburn, WA. One pre-arranged and pre-approved day per week from home.
Salary: $61,800 to 78,000 per year.
Benefits: Full medical reimbursement program, full dental and vision, 401k, 80 hours PTO per year, 8 holidays per year.

What We Do

Every day is different working at Pro-Tow & Motorplex. We are not the typical towing company or repair shop, we offer a very large variety of work that you will be doing, and we combine that with growth opportunities that allow you to earn more as you learn to do more. From light duty to heavy duty towing, to all types and sizes of recovery work, to spill response, to mechanical work for our customers as well as mechanical work for our own fleet.

Who You Will Work For

I founded the company in 1993 as a sole proprietor. Currently, our company is owned and operated daily by my wife and me. We employ approximately 30 people. You will work directly for the owners--learning and making the owners' job easier. I believe that we get to come to work and that we have a responsibility to serve others, grow together, and make the world a better place.

What We Do

We tow and recover cars, trucks, semis, RVs, and just about anything that needs to be towed. We fix heavy trucks, RVs, and fleet vehicles. We fix our own fleet as well as outside customers. We perform spill response, cargo recovery, and load services. There is no day the same on our team. While not everything we do we truly love, nonetheless, we get to do what we do, and we hope you do too.

Our Expectations and What You Will Do:

  • Recruiting. You will help design new job posts, improve current posts.
  • Utilize and improve our ATS and HRIS s
  • Screening, testing, and interviewing applicants.
  • Create and establish new pipelines for discovering and recruiting talent.
  • Improve and administer our onboarding and orientation process.
  • Perform basic training, and administer advanced training
  • Conduct scheduled in person meetings with all staff
  • Help improve, create, and celebrate company culture and core values

Uniqueness I am looking for:

  • Skilled trades experience. Somewhere at sometime worked in a skilled trade or have otherwise developed a keen appreciation for men and women in the trades.
  • Unique ability to connect with people. Google the book Crucial Conversations and this is what I expect you to be able to do.
  • Someone that inherently has demonstrated an understanding of service to others ahead of themselves.
  • Someone that has a proven understanding of confidentiality and has demonstrated ability align themselves with company leadership ahead of and at the cost of friendships.
  • Degree or equivalent in Human Resources and/or trade certification in applicable HR.
  • Keyboarding and computer skills at the top of the class.
  • Excellent English, grammar and writing skills.
  • Must not use drugs (including marijuana at all, in any method, and have not anytime within the last 6 months).
  • Must meet WSP criminal background check standards.

What you will have to read, reference, listen to and practice:

  • Traction; Get A Grip On Your Business. By Gino Wickman. Buy the book and the audio book. This simple Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a training manual that deserves a class in every business school in the country. You will be required to learn and practice Gino Wickman's teachings.
  • Way of the Shepherd by Kevin Leman. This is required reading, listening, and practicing. If you learned something different in college, this will be the go-to that will replace any misconceptions either taught or learned in regarding to the culture you will be expected to contribute to.
  • In the first question of your application please type the day of the week the Declaration of Independence was signed along with your answer to the question.
