PARAPROFESSIONAL - SPECIAL EDUCATION
REPORTS TO:Special Education Teacher(s) and Administrators
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine tasks assigned by certificated personnel.
- Assist with instruction.
- Grade papers, workbooks, etc.
- Operate copying machine.
- Assist with playground supervision.
- Work with students under the teacher's supervision.
- Operate audio-visual equipment and other machines housed in the media center.
- Assist in student toileting (i.e. diaper changing and bathing) and feeding activities (including tube feeding) under supervision of the teacher (as needed).
- Catheterize, suction, or any other procedures required for students needing these services (as needed).
- Assist with tube feeding (as needed).
- Knowledge of CPR.
- Assist in moderate to heavy lifting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
