Medical Collections Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Collector to join our team. As a Medical Collector, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate collection of medical payments from insurance companies. This role requires strong knowledge of medical billing processes, and collection procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Thorough understanding of all rules, policies, and protocols of assigned payors.
• Verifying that claims have been received by the payor in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all charges are reimbursed according to the contract.
• Appeal all claims that are denied or not reimbursed according to contract
• Maintain thorough, accurate notes/documentation for all claim status.
• Notify management of any issues that may be impacting reimbursement.
• Handle all related correspondence and telephone calls from carriers and patients.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with staff, physicians and patients to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' RCM experience in a medial practice or hospital system

High Scholl Diploma or GED

Strong Communication Skills

Professional "can do" attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.05 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
