Logistics Specialist

JOB FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager and with safety, efficiency, and customer service a priority, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the Logistics Team in a manner that will insure prompt, efficient delivery of Porta Kleen services to its customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Review driver’s paperwork from previous day and follow up as needed.

2. Answer incoming calls from drivers and resolve any issues or concerns.

3. Aid drivers in making calls regarding placement/move vehicles blocking service/open gates etc.

4. Answer incoming calls from customers regarding service requests and resolve any issues or concerns.

5. Review Exceptions Report from previous day and work to resolve issues.

6. Contact customers to verify next day delivery information.

7. Assist Route Coordinators with Quality Log/customer complaints as needed.

8. Backup coverage for Route Coordinators for vacation/sick days, etc.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Handle emergency responses to customer needs and ensuring all personnel, equipment and supplies are dispatched quickly.

2. Must be willing to work weekends, and Holidays as necessary and in a non-traditional setting with limited travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate’s Degree or high school equivalent with 1-2 years’ experience in transportation or logistics.

2. Knowledge in dispatching in a service industry.

3. Excellent computer skills.

4. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.

5. Ability to prioritize and multitask.

6. Knowledge of federal DOT regulations preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Lancaster, OH 43130: Relocate before starting work (Required)
