We currently seek to fill the role of Parts/Warehouse Specialistto lead parts ordering, stocking, and distribution for the fast-growing PAAL business within the Kadant Company. The candidate must be willing to put in extra effort to ensure satisfaction of our growing list of customers throughout North America.
Responsibilities- Provides inventory control function by organizing warehouse stocking and cycle counting parts to ensure accuracy of ERP system.
- Places parts orders with suppliers to maintain required warehouse stocking levels and to meet quick turnaround needs of customers for non-stocked parts.
- Coordinates inbound shipping of parts and communicates status to customers and Kadant PAAL staff.
- Develops and implements processes to minimize part replenishment freight cost.
- Upon arrival of supplier parts shipments, confirms quantities, enters receipts into ERP system, and transfers parts to correct warehouse locations.
- Fulfills customer parts orders by pulling parts, packaging for shipment, and prepares labels/documents for hand off to freight carriers.
- Assembles parts into kits as required to meet customer needs and for warehouse organization.
- Analyzes and recommends parts stocking levels based on customer demand and type of part. Maintains replenishment drivers in ERP system based on analysis. Runs MRP process on a regular basis to ensure timely replenishment of parts.
- Works with PAAL Germany to effectively manage part/kit identification, correctly utilize the digital parts catalog, make pricing & cost changes, communicate parts issues, and serve as a knowledgeable parts expert for the North American market.
- Participates in weekly meetings with Kadant PAAL staff to discuss the parts program, identify and implement improvements, and provide status reports.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the position, and at least two years of related experience.
- Must be capable of sitting at a desk for prolonged periods and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities, including the production floor.
- On the production floor, may lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods.
