Form of workSmartyPants is looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for the Logistics Fulfillment Specialist (LFS) position. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager and supporting the Order Fulfillment Team to ensure SmartyPants is delivering to customers on time with regularity while reducing transportation and processing costs.
What You'll Do:
- Route shipments to freight brokers to book domestic and international shipments.
- Execute accurate and traceable transactions in our ERP to record inventory movements.
- Prepares and maintains documentation (BOL, Packing Lists & PODs) of transfer of goods between suppliers, co-manufacturers, and 3PL warehouses.
- Track and monitor in-transit shipments to always provide live reporting until delivery.
- Generate and submit periodic reports/claims (CHEP pallet transfers, Freight Disputes)
- Participates in cycle audits (internal and external) to validate company record keeping.
- Execute reports and investigations to identify root causes for logistics issues.
- Supporting role in manual and EDI purchase order processing into the ERP system.
- Assist in closing out weekly sales orders and identifying inventory discrepancies.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
- 1-3 years of logistics and order processing experience
- Experience and skill working with ERP systems
- Experience working with Third Party Logistics providers
- Intermediate excel skills enabling comparisons of multiple data sets
- Prior knowledge working with Canadian Customs/FDA a plus
- Must be a self-starter who will identify problems and initiate corrective actions
- Strong ability to interface with other departments and teams in a professional manner
- Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task projects and process improvements while managing day-to-day activities
- Clear communication of complex issues to stakeholders with multiple needs
- Professional written and oral communication skills that are clear and concise
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence emails, and SOPs
- Strong customer service, analytical, and reasoning skills

- The pay range for this position is $24 to $28.85. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPants Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. Our headquarters in Marina del Rey are a former architect's office, a two-story space where we work in an open environment with no elevator access to our 2nd floor offices.
