Logistics Coordinator

Summary:
Coordinates day to day logistics operations for outbound/inbound shipments to meet customer requirements in shipping and receiving. Ensures customer requirements relating to quality and efficiency are met as pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review open order report, order tracker log, and identify customer orders ready for shipment.
• Run daily reports, process sales orders, and allocate products to released customer orders.
• Facilitate communication between production, QA, and warehouse to ensure daily shipping goals.
• Create shipping documents (bill of lading, packing list) and specified shipping labels.
• Process and schedule SCT's (internal raw material transfers).
• Maintain daily shipping schedule, communicate with warehouse personnel regarding planned shipments.
• Process shipments via FedEx/UPS as required.
• Review sales orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Obtain rates, schedule trucks for pickups and coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Answer phone calls and emails from internal and external customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding outbound shipments and/or transactions.
• Communicate with Customer Service Representatives regarding customer orders.
• Respond to customer inquiries and refer to the proper channels.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping area and workstation neat.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions.
• Demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
• Experience with DOT regulations, regulatory filings and export/import transportation preferred.
• Excellent flexibility, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively.
• Familiar with ERP (Enterprise resource planning) system (Syspro applications).
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with various groups, shippers, custom brokers, warehouse personnel, carriers, and others.
• Ability to work independently to solve problems, propose solutions, use good business judgment, take initiative.
• Demonstrate attention to detail. Keep accurate and complete records.
• Provides prompt and courteous customer service, maintains professionalism under pressure.
