Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for an International Logistics Coordinator - CCSA position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Job Summary:
The International Logistics Coordinator - CCSA Region (Caribbean, Central & South America) plans and executes international shipments from Fike Corporation headquarters to customers and subsidiaries, primarily in the CCSA region. This individual is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing export trafficking functions and documents distribution duties associated with customer export shipments. This person will work in conjunction with other logistics team members. Additionally, performs administrative work, including frequent high-level clerical work organizing, scheduling, coordinating, researching, compiling and exchanging information.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receives, reviews, and processes international shipments, primarily in the CSSA region.
- Prepares all necessary export shipping documentation, to include but not limited to, Commercial Invoice, SLI, Certificate of Origin, Packing List, BOL, and AWB.
- Researches and identifies country and shipment-specific documentation requirements and prepares accordingly.
- Communicates with other departments regarding prioritization, status and documentation details relating to orders and shipments.
- Coordinates with other shipping personnel regarding the flow of projects and daily shipments to meet shipping dates
- Performs business system functions for facilitating shipments.
- Processes export filing submittals in CBP's ACE portal as required.
- Handles dangerous goods shipments and ensures orders are shipped within company standards and federal regulations, including DOT, IMDG and ICAO/IATA.
- Provides quotes to customers and international subsidiaries.
- Supports Customer Service in quoting functions.
- Coordinates logistics with freight forwarders, couriers and other carriers for movement of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Tracks and traces shipments.
- Assists in handling domestic inbound and outbound transportation activities.
- Works with overseas offices, customers, freight forwarders and steamship lines to coordinate shipments.
- Develops and nurture relationships with customers, often with people domestically and internationally, and both internally and externally.
- Maintains required import and export documentation according to US law and corporate policy.
- Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices.

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, stand, sit and use hands.
Job Qualifications:
REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a related industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to complete required DOT HAZMAT training within 3 months of hire. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in related field. International transportation experience. General knowledge of dangerous goods shipping regulations. Knowledge and understanding of Incoterms and international trade regulations.
