POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Outbound Coordinator works closely with the Warehouse team to ensure the highest level of quality, accuracy, and efficiency with outbound order processing to our end Customer. Key focus on wave planning, routing, scheduling, and on-time shipping.
Team Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Be the central point for wave planning and outbound shipment scheduling
- Coordinate the running of waves, scheduling, and prioritizing based on customer ship windows
- Communicate any required processing/packing/labeling requirements by customer/wave to the Warehouse floor team, as well as other communication/updates with other departments as needed
- ·Work closely with the Warehouse floor team in training on customer requirements and helping to ensure they are met consistently
- Schedule all of the pickups for outbound shipments with carriers specific to customer requirements/routing guides
Individual Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Understand in detail all customer routing guides and requirements for shipments
- Maintain the FUI customer routing guide summary, and communicate any updates/changes as they occur
- Assist with daily prioritizing of outbound shipments and work load planning
- Timely scheduling of all outbound shipments and coordination of pickups with the carriers
- Ensure all required instructions, documents, and labels are provided with each wave batch by customer
- Prepare all necessary shipping documents
- Conduct audits for accuracy confirmation on outbound shipments
- Learn and develop a strong knowledge of the BC System and AWS, especially the Outbound Modules, Wave Planning, and Shipping
- Help foster a high level of safety, quality, and accuracy
- Specific Customer assignments (see attached)
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 plus years of experience within Footwear or similar industry
- Proven track record of a high level of service and quality in a distribution or similar environment
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and set priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and assist in ensuring a high level of on-time shipping
- Passion for a high level of quality, accuracy, and doing things right the first time
- Microsoft office applications
- ·WMS and/or ERP experience a plus
PHYSICAL/MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in warehouse type environment with lifting up to 25-30 lbs.
- This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, and bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing or calculator use.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The majority of this job will be spent indoors however the space is not climate controlled.
